What is the difference between buttercream and fondant?
Buttercream is a soft icing that can be spread and flavored easily. Fondant is also considered icing but is in a solid state that can easily be molded to create decorations or a smooth finished to your cake. Fondant can be flavored as requested. Our basic fondant has a smooth vanilla/marshmallow flavor.

What is ganache?
Ganache is chocolate mixed with hot cream to form a silky smooth consistency that can easily be spread on cakes. Chocolate or white chocolate can be flavored to compliment your cake and filling choices and results in a wonderful finish under fondant.

What is the difference between a sheet cake, tiered cake, and carved cake?
Sheet cakes are usually larger, flat rectangular shaped cakes. Tiered cakes are different sized cakes (circles, squares, etc.) stacked on top of one another. Carved cakes are just that, cakes carved into the design of your choice.
